Emma J's Overalls...

I absolutely love April Cornell! Not only is she a great person and humanitarian, she designs beautiful clothes. Luckily for us home sewing gals (or of course, guys), she created a line of fabric. Here are the overalls I made for Emma using April fabric....
Visit http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/ItemSearch--search-april-cornell--srcin-1 to purchase her fabric. It's got a wonderful hand that I love for sewing and if you're a quilter, you'll especially love them:)
Now here is my attempt at being "boutique-e". It's kind of hard for me because I'm so into the vintage look, but I love Amy Butler's style. Her fabric can be purchased here:http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/ItemSearch--search-amy-butler--srcin-1The red fabric is Minkee, so really they're much too hot for right now. But when the fall comes, Emm will be nice and toasty!

This last picture is an idea I had for Emma when she was a tiny baby. They're blessing or baptism shoes. I bought the shoes at the dollar store, then embellished them with pearl beads and organdy ribbon. I think they'd make a wonderful gift that would be handed down for generations.

  1. I love the little clothes you have made - I get the sewing bug about every 6 months, and I seem to sew non-stop for about a week. I love to see what other people are doing - it is great inspiration!
