Emma J's Overalls...

I absolutely love April Cornell! Not only is she a great person and humanitarian, she designs beautiful clothes. Luckily for us home sewing gals (or of course, guys), she created a line of fabric. Here are the overalls I made for Emma using April fabric....
Visit to purchase her fabric. It's got a wonderful hand that I love for sewing and if you're a quilter, you'll especially love them:)
Now here is my attempt at being "boutique-e". It's kind of hard for me because I'm so into the vintage look, but I love Amy Butler's style. Her fabric can be purchased here: red fabric is Minkee, so really they're much too hot for right now. But when the fall comes, Emm will be nice and toasty!

This last picture is an idea I had for Emma when she was a tiny baby. They're blessing or baptism shoes. I bought the shoes at the dollar store, then embellished them with pearl beads and organdy ribbon. I think they'd make a wonderful gift that would be handed down for generations.

  1. I love the little clothes you have made - I get the sewing bug about every 6 months, and I seem to sew non-stop for about a week. I love to see what other people are doing - it is great inspiration!
