~Saturday Morning Inspiration~

Good Morning everyone!

I have to apologize for my blog hiatus last week. It was such a busy weekend with Easter ... I just didn't find the time! We did have a wonderful weekend with our family though and I hope you did as well. It's these times together that remind me of how I am truly blessed I am. My little nephew Briggs is finally starting to recover from his 18 month battle with a brain tumor (Medulloblastoma) and it's such a miracle to see him now. He was such a cutie at our annual Easter egg hunt. He can't quite walk yet, so he just scoots around on his rear end. He has such a determination .... And Emma and the boys were so sweet. They helped him get eggs that he couldn't. Emma and Briggs be heading to preschool together this fall (SNIFF! My baby!), so I know she'll be looking out for him. It's so inspiring seeing his progress, but also witnessing my children caring for their cousin. What a gift to be blessed with compassion. We also colored Easter eggs and held our annual Easter Brunch, complete with another egg hunt .... Too much candy, but a wonderful weekend indeed!

So this week I had a "perspective" day. You know one of those days where you are so irritated at something that, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't really matter. Somebody said something rude, mean, untrue and uncalled for on the internet! It's not Cancer or hunger or poverty. Just irritation. Somebody said something rude, mean, untrue and uncalled for on the internet! I stomped around for a while, posted an annoyed Facebook status, then stewed. What was posted wasn't about me, but it was directed at people that I care about, so it really bothered me! Just then I remembered that I needed to download my Easter pictures. As soon as they started to show up on my computer screen, I realized how grateful I am. Looking at the pictures of my smiling kids, my beautiful family. Duh! Who cares what somebody says on the internet. Even if it is mean, untrue and uncalled for. I'm going to take my late Dad's advice and let it roll off my back. There will always be people who are unkind. I just need to be the best person I can be. That's all that really matters. Oh and of course, moments like these with Briggs and my boys Mason and Colter ...

Isn't that cute?

Now for some "Crafty" inspiration!

  1. Your having lots of fun over here Paige! Your Easter sounded fun too. Today will be beautiful and sunny, yeah!

Nice blogs, glad you got your neclace and fun soaps.

About the bad words on the internet...I honestly think there is someone or some groups purposely going around trying to do this, maybe to be funny which it is NOT etc. I have heard quite a few people say this so it has me wondering if its all intentional and they just go from one blog to another.
It's harmful and hurtful to the blogworld. Almost like a "lets terrorize the blogworld" thing.
Dont take it personal, although thats what I think they are doing is making it personal.
Weird isnt it. But its going on out there.

  2. I for one am glad that you are kind and compassionate enough to be bothered by rudeness. The world has enough "tough" people who aren't phased by intentionally unkind acts and words. I think there needs to be more tenderhearted people who recognize wrong when they hear it (or read it). Sorry you were hurt by it, but glad you have a great perspective. I think you are awesome.

  3. Brenda, No it wasn't random. It was an entire blog post. I just breaks my heart the way this person uses her blog to hurt others. Especially people I care about. So anyway, on to the brighter side of things! I've got to get out to your store! I'll bet you've got some cute stuff in now.... Take care and have a great Saturday!

Hollie, Thank you so much! I'm so glad there are people like us in the world! BTW: That quiet book is absolutely darling! 5. Paige, it always amazes me what some people will do, or say, and it's hard not to be bothered by it. But you're right, it's so much more important to be nice, and kind, and to be truthful and honest. I figure in the end, what goes around comes around, in one way or another.

By the way, I nominated you for a Sunshine Award. Please stop by my blog when you get the chance to check it out! : )
