So today I took my eldest boy to the drivers license division to get his (GASP!!!) permit. I was on the verge of tears the whole time. While I sat there waiting for him to take the test, I started to well up. As I glanced down at his birth certificate, I realized that it seems like yesterday when were just a few blocks away at the hospital holding our brand new baby boy. And now he's DRIVING? ACK! So he bounced out of the cubical saying "I passed ... I passed!" the guy at the desk gave us a little piece of paper, and we were out of there. Just like that my boy has a DRIVING PERMIT! Watch out world, here he comes!
Congratulations Colter!
After we were done, we stopped at Where Women Create. Waiting there for me was the most lovely gift courtesy of Debbie Murray and Shea Fragoso.

So beautifully wrapped I didn't dare open it at first ...

But when I did, I was so touched.
Isn't is beautiful?
The flower is gorgeous, the chain is fabulous and it's filled with lavender so it smells DIVINE. Plus it has my very favorite word stitched on the linen toile fabric ...
"BLESSED"

Babies and permits...so hard to let them take the next step! On the other hand, if you hadn't done your job as a parent, he wouldn't have been so proud of the accomplishment. Congrats on that! And, I LOVE that heart! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful package, both inside and out. Presentation is half the pleasure, for sure! Lavender is a great touch, too!
