I have a serious addiction An addiction that drives my poor husband CRAZY. It fills an entire closet in my laundry room and four shelves and two baskets in my office, but it's something that I don't ever want to be cured. Yes, friends, I am a FABRIC HOARDER and I am not ashamed to admit it.
Who's with me? C'mon you know you are too. How can you resist those cute prints? That soft flannel ... And the KNITS! How fabulous is it that we can now buy ready-to-wear quality knits! And don't even get me started on laminated cotton! Are you kidding me? AHHHHH! Now you *might* think: "Wow Paige!" "I'll bet you sew so many things with all of that fabric"!
CONFESSION: I haven't actually sewed ANYTHING since March! I have a boatload of great patterns, a sewing machine (and serger), plus all of that BEAUTIFUL fabric all at the ready ... I have got to get going!
I've got to quit buying and sew!
Will that ever happen?
YES! Well sort of ...
Jo and I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely ladies of Riley Blake a few weeks ago for lunch. Let's just say I was in HEAVEN hearing all about their new lines and workings of a fabric business. It was so interesting ... Especially for a fabric gal like me. Plus, Jina and Cindy are seriously the nicest people! I just can't give up my addiction with them around! And who would want to?
Here is their booth at Quilt Market:
It was FABULOUS! And that darling fabric tree? It now resides at our dear friends Kim and Kris's new store in Logan {My Girlfriends Quilt Shop}. If you're in their neck of the woods, you MUST stop in! I just visited on Friday, but that's another blog post and another enabler to my fabric hoarding!
Riley Blake is one of my favorite fabric companies. I was lucky enough to work with their fabric on some projects for Making Memories last fall:
I even had enough left over to make an owl for Emma using my friend Anj's Pattern.
She loves her:).
Not only do they have GREAT fabric, but Riley Blake also carries matching trims, buttons and other accents called "Sew Together". How many times have you wanted to rip your hair out trying to match rick-rack or buttons to your fabric? Now Riley Blake has you covered. Plus, they have pom-pom trim which is perfect for little girls skirts! I have a pattern all ready and just enough of this fabric by Riley Blake designer Lila Tueller to get started! Yes! I can FINISH a project!
You really have to head over to www.rileyblakedesigns.com and see for yourself. Plus, they're having a contest right now where you could win a Beach Cruiser bike or a Caribbean CRUISE!
So you can see how great I think their fabric is.
Do you want to find our for yourself?
Well OF COURSE you do!
Look what I have to giveaway ...
