Can You Please Just be Kind?

So. Here's the deal. Remember how I did my big post about being a "Pollyanna"? Well lately I have come across a few people who have really challenged my "Pollyanna-ness".
GGGRRRRRR!
I'm sure you've met them. You know, those "Negative Nellies" in your life that you'd just like to say ... "Can you please just be kind?".  Maybe you have more harsh words, but you get the point.

No, I am not going to change my outlook because of anyone else, but listen ... Can you help me by spreading the word? I think if we all can change our little corners of the world, maybe those who aren't so nice can get the message. Let's all band together and JUST BE NICE! Do you have a favorite blog? Leave them a nice comment! Do you follow a company on Facebook that you just love? Let them know! Is there a friend you've been meaning to call? PICK UP THE PHONE! Is there someone who has impacted your life? PLEASE let them know!

~Good heavens I sound bossy!~

Together I think we can make a difference!

While we're on the subject of favorite blogs, I created something for one of my friends who happens to own a creative blog. She is so kind and is always willing to listen when I need to talk.
I wanted to do a little something for her ...

So I made her an apron!

Riley Blake has the cutest apron panels and they're so easy to sew!
This fabric line is called Verona and was designed by the lovely Emily Taylor
Click HERE to see the entire line.
I am also sewing up a bunch for Mother's Day, so if you're a looking for a quick and DARLING gift, you'll want to check these out.

I lined this one, but you don't have to.
I also added rick rack, fabric flowers and a letter appliqué just to add a little pizzaz.

*I made the flowers using my AccuQuilt Go!Baby and my Sizzix Big Shot. The letter appliqué was created using my Making Memories Fabrique. They were SUPER easy:)

I'll let you know what she thinks!

And if you're with me on the Pollyanna thing, please let me know!

Have a good night my friends and I just want you to know that I am glad you're here!

XOXOXO
Paige

  2. There is nothing wrong with thinking the best of people and finding a silver lining in tough times - so I agree with you wholeheartedly. I too am proud to be a Pollyanna and I'm very pleased to meet you!
You could start a Pollyanna Army!

  3. Oh, Paige, I wish you lived nearby so we could be friends and hang out. I am SO with you. I often say to my husband......'what is wrong with some people?'. I try to live my life in a positive way and support my friends to the fullest. I have received quite a bit of negativity from people I thought were my friends once I started doing more than staying home with my kids and wanting to start my business. I have since gotten those negative nellies out of my life.......they just aren't worth it. I am now surrounded by love and support which is the way life should be! Off to leave a nice comment for someone :)

  4. Paige, I so agree with you! Life is way to short to be negative or hateful. If you ever need any support or help just drop me a in since I do live in the Ogden area (Plain City). Love the apron by the way, are you going to sell any? Come on down to Weber County fairgrounds next week to the Kottage Kupboard.
